There are few places in the world where the elements combine as they do in Los Cabos. The two courses at Cabo del Sol blend these elements perfectly, and present the golfer with an extraordinary experience. The Ocean Course by Jack Nicklaus, and the Desert Course by Tom Weiskopf are the ideal host courses for the 2013 TaylorMade Invitational. |

One of the few layouts on the planet to embrace ocean, mountain and desert environments, the Ocean Course, the glistening crown jewel of Los Cabos, stretches for more than a mile across a stunning desert landscape tilted to the Sea of Cortez. Described by many as the 'Pebble Beach of the Baja', this magnificent layout has seven holes touching a coastline marked by tawny granite outcrops and golden, sun-drenched beaches washed by the turquoise-blue sea.
Among its many accolades, the Ocean Course has been voted to GOLF Magazine's list of the 'Top 100 Courses in the World' for the past 15 years. Golf Digest currently ranks the Ocean Course #1 among the 'Top Golf Courses in Mexico' and #24 on its '100 Best Outside the U.S.' roster. LINKS Magazine recognized the Ocean Course as one of the "10 most spectacular courses in the world" in 2011. Cabo del Sol's flagship course hosted the 1995 and 1998 PGA TOUR Senior Slam events.
Jack Nicklaus has praised the Ocean Course, the top-rated international venue on his long resume, for having the "three finest finishing holes in all of golf." |

Opened to acclaim in 2001, the Desert Course at Cabo del Sol was Tom Weiskopf's first design in Mexico. From nearly every point on the course, players are treated to splendid views of the glittering Sea of Cortez.
The finish on the Desert Course is dazzling. The par-four 17th plays uphill off the tee before turning left and dropping down to the two-tiered peninsula green guarded by water. The scintillating par-four 18th, crossed three times by a rock-lined creek, plunges downhill to a slim, elevated green fronted by an attractive, yet menacing pond. The sea's tourmaline-blue waters sparkle in the distance.
While the Ocean Course has garnered the lion's share of the awards bestowed on Cabo del Sol, the Desert Course appears on Golfweek's 'Best Courses of the Caribbean & Mexico' roster. It's no small wonder that shot-for-shot, most golf aficionados rank the Desert Course second only to its more famous sibling as the premier test of golf in Los Cabos. |
